As Zod has expertly worded it: "protect the integrity of people's characters".
OOC: JUST DON'T.
No racial slurs are allowed, none, at all. We expect EVERYONE to be courteous to EVERYONE else, taking into consideration both sides of the story and people's feelings.
IC: Not quite the same.
Lets say I RP a ghost. Lets say someone's irritated they can't hit the ghost. Lets say that someone who can't hit the ghost, reports it, and the admin tells me, the ghost, that I can no longer use intangibility. Am I a ghost still? No, and it wouldn't be god-modding either unless the character who's trying to harm me specifically has the ability to do so. Therefore, we'd be stripping the character of itself.
IF your character is notoriously sexual, rude, spits racial slurs or insults, is known to be offensive, vulgar or derogatory in ANY way, M/DC will allow it so long as it's in. RP. Only. This means swearing, gestures of any sort, reactions to such gestures, vulgarity, nudity ... etc. These things ARE protected by the room, and you CAN NOT be banned, or warned, or asked to tone it down, because we will NOT strip a character of the essence that makes that character, the character that they are.
Again, OOC, if this is happening where a user is acting this way toward you, THEN you can report it, but we're going to ask for proof that you told them to stop without a doubt, and request that you block the person if they continue. The person will be added to the Mod/Admin watchlist, and if the behavior continues toward other people, they'll be warned, kicked, and then banned. If it goes beyond that, report the harassment to Sadako on RPH's help forum.
Smut, on the other hand, we would greatly prefer if you took to PM. Small things such as snuggling, hugging, kissing, nuzzling, little-affections are fine in-room.
